ALMA (APPEL) SCHWAB

Alma Dolly Schwab of Higgins, passed away Monday, May 1, 2017 at the age of 99. 
Alma was born February 12, 1918 in Shattuck, OK and married Emanuel Schwab on June 11, 1938. She and Emanuel made their home outside Higgins for many years before moving to town in 1947.  Alma worked for Weis Dry Goods for a number of years and then joined her husband at his Higgins Implement Co. all while being a homemaker and being involved with gardening, cooking, sewing, yard work, & quilting.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star in Higgins.  She was always thinking of others and was often the first person with a dish in hand when someone was sick or needed a meal.
Alma was preceded in death by her husband, Emanuel Schwab.
She is survived by her son, Clifford Schwab and wife Dianna of Higgins, a granddaughter Brandi Weinette and Gene of Wellington, a grandson Chris Schwab and Karen of Allen, TX and 6 great grandchildren; Tristan and Caleb Weinette; Kelly, Kathrine, Nathan and Julie Schwab.
2 step granddaughters Corina Srygley and Jeff of Amarillo, Monica Post and Nick of Canyon; 2 step grandsons Clinton Born and Tonya of Follett; and Clayton Born and Marissa of Follett and 9 step great grandchildren; Sasha Brothers, Shyan and Logan Post; Colt and Jennifer Srygley; Rowdy Born; Holden, Kaitlin and Benjamin Born.
She was loved by many nieces and nephews.
